BCG Inter-School Technology Competition

Technovation’ the BCG Inter-School IT Competition was conducted by Gurukul Skylights for students of Classes 8 and 9. The event was conducted at Bombay Cambridge International School, Andheri (East).

Students were asked to make a movie using an unfamiliar software, Pro show. They were given 3 hours to learn the software and make the movie.

Topic: Create awareness about an INTERNATIONAL DAY (of their choice).

The days chosen by teams included:

1. International day of Social Justice

2. International day of Suicide Prevention

3. International day of Human Rights

4. International day of Happiness

5. International day of the Heart

 

Winners of "Technovation 2018" were the students of:


 

Their topic for movie making was 'International Day of Happiness'. The team members were Tanvi Gadoya, Meet Jain, Siddh Shah and Sharvari Mulay.

The judges for the event were from the field of media and movie making. A brief profile of the judges is presented below:

Mr. Rajesh Shukla: Rajesh is a creative thinker and has built a strong creative agency from scratch. From branding projects to advertising solutions to effective social media campaigns, he has planned and executed projects smoothly. He heads Communication, Design and Business Development at 'Creative Injection'.

Mr. Mahee Pal: Mahee flits frequently from writing and directing to modeling and compositing. A finalist at the 'Cinerise 2016' script lab with one of his feature screenplays he is a writer by passion. He loves stories and tries his best to make each of his directorial efforts about the story and the characters, even if all it involves is a product packshot.

Mr. Dipak Nayak: Dipak has been Director of Photography for SRFTI (Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute) Motion picture Photography from 2001-2005). He is currently working on KESARI Dharma Production and has directed a documentary 'Wings of Hope'.  He has worked on films like 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari', 'Murder at Koh E Fiza' and some promos for Zee TV.
